RP’s present two ghost stories as readings. The stories have a common theme – that of greed. The first, The Stalls of Barchester written M R James, is a gothic spine-chilling tale, set in the 1800’s. It tells of one Dr Haynes, an Archdeacon who acquires his status through unscrupulous means, and the dire consequences that await him.
