Rushen Players are back!
Adults £10 / Under 18s £2
Written in 1938, J. B. Priestley’s comic masterpiece is firmly set amongst the mills, moors and Methodist chapels in Edwardian Yorkshire, reflecting the social mores of the time with warmth, humanity and humour.
During the course of an evening, a cast of vividly drawn characters invade the Helliwell’s living room, causing mayhem and upset with the three couples who are gathered there to celebrate their joint 25th wedding anniversary… or is it?
The play is an absolute delight to perform and Rushen Players had originally planned to present it last November as part of the Erin Arts Centre’s 50th anniversary celebrations – not only does the play centre around an anniversary, it also happens that Rushen Players performed it for the first time in the newly opened Erin Arts Centre 50 years ago last November. A perfect choice all round!
We are delighted to welcome three new actresses to our company for this production: Ailsa Harrop, Jude Dicken, and Louise Drinkwater.
