What the world needs now is…
Otherworlds – a departure from reality… Underworlds – collaboration, connectivity… Wonderworlds – a little touch of MAGICK
So we thought we’d put it all together to create another show – one where all kinds of alchemy might converge to create a unique and poetical world…
So let’s see what’s in the magic pot!
ARE YOU READY!?
To begin!!
ALL THE WAY FROM AUSTRALIA – OUR SPECIAL GUESTS OF HONOUR!
AWARD WINNING SPOKEN WORD POETS
New South Wales husband and wife duo, SARAH TEMPORAL and DAMIEN BECKER – who have chosen our tiny isle as part of Sarah’s ‘Tight Bindings’ European Book Tour AND, to help us celebrate this, have agreed to take part in our collaborative show.
This will include a multi-vocal, poetic collaboration feature piece that has been especially written for the event to twin our two isles.
DAUGHTER OF SEA – rhythmic poetics, gongs, songs, drums and harmonics from triple IOM poetry slam champ, Jackie Morrey Grace; Sonic Artist, Amy Howse and Jazz Vocalist, Lauren Gray.
📣 A SLIGHT UPDATE TO THE SECOND HALF OF OUR SECOND SET 🎭
So we were really hoping to have our Arts Council funded short film ready in time for the show – however, due to unavoidable circumstances one of our crew has had to step back.
Luckily, we knew delays were a risk, so we have a Plan B 🤗
This means you will now be treated to a live, theatrical performance of what WILL be On Ravensdale Hill, the film, complete with stunning, interactive and interpretative dance by the amazing Owen Atkinson AND!! new to the Penny stage, the ethereal beauty that is Fern Irene plus musical accompaniment by Lauren and Amy and, of course, MASKS!!!
Expect experimental folk horror and lots of drama (and film coming NEXT YEAR!) ✨🎶💥🎉🥰🤩🦅 ✨🎭🎶
