Marie-Stéphanie Janecek Juma (Cello) and Olga Eggert (Piano) present an evening of music to bring you joy!
The programme will include music by Chopin, Faure, Mendelssohn and Popper.
Marie-Stephanie Janecek Juma is a cellist of unique musical and personal charisma. Born in Lausanne of Swiss-German and Czech parentage, she has performed far beyond the borders of her hometown. Recital engagements have brought her to London, Paris, Geneva, Gstaad, Rome and New York. She has performed as a soloist with the London Soloists Orchestra, the North Hungarian Orchestra Miskole, the Youth Orchestra of Fribourg, with whom she toured the Czech Republic. She also performed the Dvorak Concerto with the BSO (Bloomington Symphony Orchestra)
After musical training in Crimea and Odessa, Olga was a soloist in the Crimean Philharmonic Society, making many appearances on Ukrainian, Russian and Belorussian TV. She was an official accompanist for the Lionel Tertis International Viola Competition at the EAC and also accompanied the Ballet Rambert and the National Symphony Orchestra during their visits to the Isle of Man. Olga has performed in various venues around the world – in the UK and Europe, in South America, Japan, the USA and even on the island of St. Helena!
